Raising a teenage girl to be a well-adjusted, intelligent, and responsible human is that much harder when they have a tendency to be annoying and rude. And while not every teen girl will be a jerk, puberty can exacerbate emotional reactions. The result is that many fathers feel that, overnight, their otherwise compliant and polite daughter has become obstinate and dismissive. But the good news is that this shift is totally and completely normal.
How Roof Vents Work All things being equal, wind-driven turbine vents, also known as a whirlybird roof vent, do move more air than flat vents (but only when the wind blows). The question: How much air must be moved? A largely arbitrary rule of thumb that’s been adopted into most building codes calls for 1 sq. ft. of vented area for every 300 sq. ft. of attic space. So if an attic is 1,500-sq.
Heating and cooling are almost always a home's largest source of energy consumption. So why spend that money when you're out of town? Instead, set your thermostat to maintain a stable temperature, no cooler than 54 degrees, no warmer than 80 degrees. Note that this tip doesn't suggest turning off the thermostat altogether. You should keep your home's temperature stable while you're away, whether in summer or winter, in order to prevent condensation, frozen pipes or other potentially damaging effects.
The Boruto Manga series has started to resume its journey through Two Blue Vortex. Fans are particularly enthusiastic about this manga series since Masashi Kishimoto has been engaged with it since its inception, and they anticipate a similar experience to that of the Naruto Shippuden series.
Previously, the Boruto Manga Series garnered harsh criticism for its terrible artwork and much worse plot development. For a fact, the plot development was so awful that Kishimoto had to return to the series in 2020.
My front garden features a tree that blooms in early June and makes people stop and ask me what it is. They’re stumped because it’s unusual for a tree to bloom so late in the spring. And although the flowers are white, they look and smell like lilacs.

Dr. Seuss, — AKA Theodor Seuss Geisel — changed children’s literature forever with his whimsical characters, unique use of words. But the reason why Seuss has endured — despite some outlier stinkers in his oeuvre — is that the best books teach life lessons and make comments on climate change, fascism, and greed. The author wrote nearly 50 books before he died in 1991 at the age of 87. While some of them contain harmful stereotypes that reflect the racism of the time and the author’s own prejudices, there are still good messages in the good books.

2024-03-25
A bold sneaker prediction for the remainder of 2023: This will be the year of the Adidas Samba. You remember the Samba, right? The indoor soccer shoes your footy-playing pals rocked with too short nylon Umbro shorts and white tube socks in the ‘90s? They look great with chinos, camo, trim sweats or warm-ups.
My guess that 2023 is going to be the year of the Samba is not really an educated guess — it’s not based on any insights provided by the nice folks at Adidas.
The basketball gods smiled on Indianapolis last Friday as Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals unfolded into an epic showdown that would reshape the trajectory of the series. This 111-106 victory not only revitalized the Pacers’ hopes but also highlighted the unpredictable nature of playoff basketball.
